This Week in E20: 21–27 September

No football at the stadium this week, and the Davis Cup has packed up, so the Park is quieter than it has been. Thursday is the exception, with an art walk in the afternoon and two things on in the evening. Then the London Stadium fills again on Saturday and Sunday for the World Halal Food Festival. A few of the summer fixtures finish this week too.

Thursday 24 September

Sculpting a legacy: 14 years of art on the Park

A two-hour walking tour of the Park's public art, led by Sam Wilkinson, UCL's Director of Public Art. It covers the works commissioned for London 2012 and the newer East Bank pieces, including Larry Achiampong and David Blandy's Trēow of Time and Thomas J. Price's A Place Beyond. Free, but you need to book a place.

Babylon: film screening

Franco Rosso's 1980 film follows Blue, a young reggae DJ trying to make his name on the south London sound system scene, against the everyday racism of Thatcher-era Brixton and Deptford. Free at UCL East Cinema, as part of The Music is Black Festival. The Park listing does not give a start time, so check when you book.

upperground, final night

The last of the Thursday night DJ residencies at V&A East, after a run that started on 27 August. Free, no ticket, walk in from 6.30pm.

Saturday 26 September

World Halal Food Festival

Back at the London Stadium for two days, with more than 150 vendors, a cookery theatre, live performances, a bazaar market and a kids' zone. Organisers expect over 25,000 visitors across the weekend and bill it as the largest halal food festival in the world.

Worth knowing even if you are not going: the crowd arrives across the whole day rather than around a kick off, so expect Stratford station and Westfield to be busier than a normal weekend from late morning onwards.

Skate Gals & Pals, final session

The last of the weekly inclusive sessions for BPOC and LGBTQ+ skaters, after a run that started on 1 August. Boards, pads and helmets provided, no experience needed. Capped at 15, so book ahead.

Sunday 27 September

World Halal Food Festival, day two

The second and final day, same set-up as Saturday, and the same applies to Stratford.

Pop-Up Padel, last day

The summer pop-up court closes on Sunday, after running since 9 July. Rackets available, beginners welcome, and you book a slot rather than turn up.

We Are Parable: A Masterclass in Black British Music Videos

Black British music videos on the big screen, then director Mo Ali (Skepta, Lethal Bizzle, Bashy, Chip) and music video rep Lee Fairweather (Stormzy, Joy Crookes, Arlo Parks, PinkPantheress) on how they get made. Led by We Are Parable's Aleah Scott, with an audience Q&A. Part of The Music is Black Festival, but like the Hak Baker screening it is at Rio Cinema in Dalston rather than on the Park.

The free exhibition at V&A East, a multi-sensory run through 125 years of Black British music. No ticket, and it is on until January.

The Dance Floor at Sadler's Wells East

Free dance classes, workshops and drop-ins, in their final week after running since January. Sessions change week to week, so check the programme before heading over.

Swan pedalos

Still on the water until the end of October.
