These apply to everything residents post: comments, tracker reports, business edits, recommendations and anything we add later. They sit alongside the terms and the privacy policy.

• First-hand experience — what happened to you, in your building.
• Practical answers to questions other residents have asked.
• Strong opinions and fair criticism, of businesses, the council, landlords, developers and services.
• Disagreement, argued about the issue rather than the person.
• Corrections. We would rather be corrected than wrong.

• Naming an individual resident, or a member of staff below management level.
• Photographs of people who have not agreed to appear.
• Flat numbers, vehicle registrations or anything else that identifies a household.
• Abuse, harassment, bullying, stalking or anything targeting someone for who they are.
• Threats of violence, or encouraging violence, suicide or self-harm.
• Hate speech based on race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
• Illegal content, including anything encouraging or assisting a criminal offence.
• Child sexual abuse or exploitation. Zero tolerance, and reported to the authorities.
• Content promoting, supporting or glorifying terrorism or violent extremism.
• Sexual content or solicitation.
• Fraud, scams, spam, advertising, letting adverts or referral links.
• Impersonating a resident, a public figure or an official body.
• Deliberately false reports to the trackers.

Every comment carries a report control. I read it myself — not the person who wrote it, and not an automated system on its own.

Anyone can use it. You do not need an account, you do not need to be the person affected, and the author is never told who reported them. Choose the reason that fits and add anything that helps us understand the problem. New comments are also checked by automated moderation before they appear, so some things never reach anyone's report.

You will hear the outcome, and so will the author.

A report ends in one of three outcomes, and we say which:

• Left up — it does not break these guidelines. The report is dismissed and the content stays.
• Hidden — a reversible takedown, while we look into it or for a borderline case.
• Removed — off the site, with an internal record kept for our audit trail.

Illegal content and anything risking someone's safety is prioritised and acted on quickly. We can also block an account from posting, or remove it, for serious or repeated breaches, and where we are legally required to we report illegal content to the police and cooperate with them and other authorities.

If your content was removed or your account was blocked and you think we got it wrong, appeal — ask me to look again. There is no second reviewer, so say what you think I got wrong rather than only that you disagree. Include enough detail for us to find the content. We may update these guidelines as the community grows and our obligations change; anything material is named in What changed at the top of this page.
