South Park fountain paths closed for resurfacing until 20 November

East Village Hub 1 min read

Planning a walk across the South Park fountains? You'll need a different route for the next couple of weeks: the fountain-area paths are closed for resurfacing from 1 to 20 November 2026.

The rest of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is open as normal, and this doesn't affect Victory Park or the Belvedere here in East Village.

There is a catch: the Park hasn't published a diversion map, working hours or a step-free alternative. If anyone in your group needs step-free access, check the Park's visitor information before you set off. Nothing worse than finding out halfway.

The fountains themselves are another story. They went off for winter on 30 October and are due back on 31 March 2027, so the water won't return when the paths reopen on 20 November.

I took the details from the Park's visitor notice, checked on 1 November.
