Planning Lists - July 2026

Here are the updates from the planning lists for July.

Former Charles Artisan Bread Unit

26/01049/CLP

Plans have been approved to merge the old Charles Artisan Bread unit on Abercrombie Road with the adjacent unit. The planning application references a new use as a children’s nursery from the same business that runs N Family Club in Chobham Manor.

International Way / Montfichet Road Parcel

26/00856/SCREEN

Telford Living wants to turn the small car park and railway incident control site at International Way East, beside Stratford International and just north of Westfield, into two linked towers of up to 25 storeys with around 750 student rooms and some flexible ground‑floor space. Their consultants, Trium Environmental, have written to Newham Council asking for an EIA “screening opinion” - in simple terms, a ruling on whether the scheme is big or impactful enough to need a full Environmental Impact Assessment under planning law.

The letter says the plot is tight, not in a specially protected area, and that issues like air quality, construction disturbance, daylight and overshadowing, ecology (including nearby black redstart habitat), climate impacts and ground contamination can be handled with standard mitigation and a stack of detailed reports, rather than a full EIA. If the council agrees, the student towers would go through the usual planning process, with construction currently pencilled in to start around 2028 and run for about four years.
