Five things on in E20 this Bank Holiday weekend
Five things happening within walking distance over Saturday 2 to Monday 4 May.
Five things on or near the Park between Saturday 2 and Monday 4 May. All within a 15-minute walk of East Village.
Yokimono Japanese Market

A two-day Japanese market at Riverside East, beside the Orbit. Free entry, both days, 11am to 6pm. 30+ stalls covering food, sake, kimono, ceramics, prints and books. Live taiko on Sunday. Dogs on leads welcome.
It started in Dalston in 2019 and ran its first Stratford edition last year as a single day. This year it's two.
Queen's Yard Summer Party

The other side of the canal in Hackney Wick, Saturday only. Multi-venue, ticketed, 18+, from 11am. The lineup includes Tim Reaper, Ikonika, Ploy, Roska and 1-800 GIRLS across drum and bass, house, techno and disco.
Worth knowing it's on even if you're not going. Hackney Wick will be at capacity from lunchtime onwards. If you had plans for CRATE or Howling Hops on Saturday, rethink them.
V&A East Museum

Open, free, and most people in E20 still haven't been. The opening exhibition, The Music Is Black: A British Story, traces Black British music from 1900 to now. It runs until January 2027, so there's no urgency, but a Bank Holiday morning is a good excuse.
Ten minutes on foot from East Village.
Baller League at the Copper Box

Six-a-side football with modified rules. League season runs through to early June. Check the fixtures list for which night you're free.
ABBA Voyage

Still running. The QEOP website once listed 4 May as a closing date; it's not. Performances continue throughout 2026. If you live in E20 and haven't been, that's on you.
