The way

  1. Victory Park
  2. Here East
  3. Lee towpath by Here East
  4. Lee towpath near Hackney Wick station
  5. Victory Park

It uses Victory Parade, Hopkins Row and Copper Street, East Bay Lane, the Lee Canal towpath, then Waterden Road, Olympic Park Avenue and Anthems Way.

Good to know

  • Where the route leaves the towpath near Hackney Wick, OpenStreetMap shows a flight of 19 steps marked as having no ramp, and a single step by Here East. I have not checked for a step-free way round.
  • On the towpath, people on foot have priority and cyclists must slow down. Keep dogs under close control. Source: Canal & River Trust towpath code.
  • Riverside paths in the Park can close when there is flooding. Follow the signs or the staff. Source: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, visitor information.
