
Who is standing in East Village on 7 May?
The official candidate list for Stratford Olympic Park ward has been published, confirming twelve people will stand for two seats on Newham Council at the local elections on 7 May 2026.

East Village Hub has contacted all twelve candidates with five questions on district heating costs, rent increases, phone snatching, building safety, and council accountability. The deadline for responses is 30 April. Answers will be published in full at eastvillagehub.co.uk.
Residents must be registered to vote by midnight on 20 April. Photo ID is required at the polling station. Polls open 7am to 10pm on 7 May.
