South Park playground refit: survey closes 14 December

East Village Hub 1 min read

The playground and outdoor gym in South Park, by London Stadium and about 13 minutes' walk from Victory Park, are expected to be renewed by summer 2027. You have until 14 December to tell the Olympic Park what your family uses there and what would make it better.

It's the play area of tall timber poles and red climbing mounds, with slides, swings and a sand pit, and the outdoor gym beside it. The plan is to renew and improve what is there rather than start again with a new design, so if your children love the climbing mounds or the sand pit, now is when to say so. There's no word yet on whether the playground will shut during the work, or for how long.

Take the survey. It asks for an email address, which the Park says it will use only to ask about your experience after the refurbishment. Questions go to YourSay@QueenElizabethOlympicPark.co.uk.
