Newham Council is resurfacing three roads near the western edge of East Village overnight between 13 and 22 April. Works run 7pm to 5am each night and are part of the wider Westfield Avenue public realm scheme.
The roads affected are:
- Westfield Avenue between Waterden Road and Station Passage
- Olympic Park Avenue southbound between Westfield Avenue and Anthems Way
- International Way between Westfield Avenue and Roundhouse Lane
Diversions will be in place during working hours, signed on the road. Pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles won't be affected.
Westfield car parks A and B (accessed via Roundhouse Lane) will have no inbound vehicle access on the nights of 13, 14, 20, and 21 April between 7pm and 5am. If your car is already in the car park, you can still exit at any time.
The resurfacing is part of a larger scheme that's already changed traffic flow in the area - the Westfield Avenue project is adding wider pavements, segregated cycle tracks, and new crossings along the corridor.
