East Village is getting its first dog day - and it looks brilliant

Andrew Jones 2 min read

East Village gets its first ever dedicated dog day on Saturday 5 September 2026, when Woof About takes over Victory Park and Victory Parade from 11am to 4pm. The event brings together a dog show, an indie market, portrait artists, a photography studio, and tarot readings - all in one afternoon in E20.

The centrepiece is a dog show in Victory Park, run by Luke's Dog School. Expect Hoopers agility courses, training demonstrations, and a trick competition in a 'My Dog's Got Talent' format, complete with temptation challenges. Entry to the show is free, and you can book a spot in advance at woofabout.uk.

Over on Victory Parade, the Woof About indie market brings together independent businesses selling treats, accessories, and doggy goodies. Also on the Parade, Yvette's Intuition is offering free doggy tarot readings - a chance to explore your relationship with your dog through tarot. Sessions are free but bookable in advance, so it's worth reserving a slot.

Woof Photography is setting up a pop-up studio at 31-34 Victory Parade, where photographer Jonny will be running 20-minute professional photoshoots with professional lighting and a choice of statement backdrops. Sessions cost £35, with images available to purchase afterwards. Spaces are limited, so booking ahead is strongly recommended at woofabout.uk/events/woof-photography-at-east-village.

Woof Portraits by Ryan offers hand-drawn digital illustrations and traditional ink drawings of dogs, with bespoke commissions available on the day. A good option if you want something to take home beyond a photograph.
