Belvedere Park is now open, with the finishing touches continuing to be applied by Maylim
After a short wait, Belvedere Park is now open. Residents could walk through the park from yesterday, and enjoy a space that has been genuinely transformed. Maylim, the main contractor, is still putting the finishing touches to a few areas, but the park is accessible and well worth a visit.
What’s new
The play area has been rebuilt for children aged 4 to 10, with sensory and social play features designed to bring kids together. Beyond the playground, there is lawn space, shaded seating, and winding paths that make it easy to slow down and stay a while.
Over 100 plant species have been introduced across the park, including trees, wildflowers, and perennials chosen to support pollinators and attract songbirds. Improved pedestrian and cycling routes run through the site, alongside new benches, upgraded lighting, and CCTV.
The wait was worth it.
Come back for the Summer Fete
Belvedere Park will be at the heart of the East Village Summer Fete on Saturday 25 July 2026. It is a free, family-friendly celebration and a brilliant early chance to enjoy the new space with your neighbours.
