
Zipcar Has Shut Down in the UK. What East Village Residents Need to Know
Zipcar has exited the UK market. Here's what it means for East Village
Zipcar has confirmed it is ceasing operations in the UK and is closing all UK member accounts.
In a notice to members, Zipcar states that UK accounts will remain open until 16 February 2026, after which they will be formally closed.

If you're a Zipcar member
Refunds
- Paid memberships and subscriptions are being pro-rated and refunded
- Refunds are backdated to 31 December 2025
- Refunds are issued automatically to the original payment method
- Zipcar expects eligible refunds to arrive by the end of January 2026
