A practical day outdoors every Wednesday, 10am to 3:30pm. Pond clearing, reed cutting, coppicing and habitat building in The Waterglades. No experience needed.

Every Wednesday from 10am to 3:30pm, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) run a practical day of biodiversity work in The Waterglades and the green spaces around East Village. You'll learn new skills, meet people and help look after the wildlife on your doorstep.

Tasks include pond and channel clearing, reed cutting, coppicing (cutting smaller tree stems), digging and creating new habitats. You work as part of a volunteer team, and guidance and tools are provided.

You don't need to book. The first time you volunteer, TCV asks you to fill in a volunteer welfare form, which they can email you in advance. Email Karen at eastvillage@tcv.org.uk to get it. Meet at 10am outside Sedona House, on the corner of Victory Parade and Scarlet Close.
