This is the second free festival weekend of The Music is Black Festival from East Bank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, celebrating Black women and non-binary voices driving music and culture. Curated by leading artists including Jamz Supernova, Yazmin Lacey x TYSON, and BORN N BREAD.

Saturday 11 July, 12pm–midnight

Curated by Jamz Supernova — prominent British DJ and broadcaster who platforms underground music and plays an eclectic genre mix from broken beat, UK funky to bass, techno and beyond. Full programme to be announced.

Sunday 12 July, 12–6pm

Curated by Yazmin Lacey x TYSON and BORN N BREAD. BORN N BREAD are a sisterhood committed to platforming diverse voices, with a DJ competition to spotlight new talent. Full programme to be announced.

The Dance Floor is Black at Sadler’s Wells East

Across the weekend, Sadler’s Wells East hosts The Dance Floor is Black. Saturday: Club Night 7pm–late, ‘Let Love Be Your Rock’ with Jade Hackett. Sunday: Sunday Session 12–6pm with L’attise Rhoden and Glade Marie.

Getting there

Head to Sadler’s Wells East to find The Waterfront Stage and Mid Terrace at Stratford Waterfront. Entry is completely free — no ticket needed, just turn up.
