A volunteer-run information service for East Village. We check what we publish and correct it when it is wrong, but we are not a substitute for your landlord, your GP, a solicitor or the emergency services.
EVH is independent and non-commercial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Get Living, East Village Management Limited (EVML), Triathlon Homes, Notting Hill Genesis, Newham Council or any other estate management or housing company. Using the site means agreeing to what is on this page.
Everything here is published in good faith for general community information. We aim for accuracy and do not guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free, and nothing on the site is professional, legal, financial, medical or regulatory advice. Take independent advice before acting on anything that matters.
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
The EVH name, logo and original writing are © East Village Hub; fair personal use is fine, and anything further is a conversation. We link to other sites for convenience and are not responsible for what is on them. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Your comments, reports and photographs remain yours. By posting them you give EVH permission to display them on the site and in anonymised summaries, and you confirm they are yours to share and accurate as far as you know. We may edit a submission or decline to publish it.
You must not post anything illegal, or anything that breaks the community guidelines. That includes, and is not limited to:
Comments are checked before they appear. We remove anything that identifies a resident, names a staff member below management level, or breaks the community guidelines.
Anyone can report resident-posted content, including without an account. Where we are legally required to, we report illegal content to the police and cooperate with them and other authorities. Reporting something to EVH is not a substitute for calling the emergency services. The full route is in the community guidelines.
My E20 is an optional account that adds saves, follows, notifications, the neighbour directory and signed submissions on top of the public site. Creating one confirms that:
We can suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms. Notifications reach you in your inbox, by email, and as browser push only if you turn it on; all of it is controlled from your settings, and how the data is handled is in the privacy policy.
Attaching your display name to a report is opt-in per submission, and anonymous stays the default. Where you do, the name is public beside that report and the report appears in your dashboard; deleting your account strips both and leaves the report anonymously in the record. The neighbour directory is opt-in and reversible, and must not be used to spam, harass or contact residents off EVH.
Supporting EVH on Patreon is voluntary. Being a supporter means your chosen display name and tier may appear publicly on the About page and in the supporter credits; ask us and we will change or remove it. Payment and billing are Patreon's, under Patreon's terms. The supporter Discord is subject to Discord's terms and the channel rules posted in it; we can remove a member at our discretion and accept no liability for what members post there.
Every tracker is resident-reported and unverified. Filing a report confirms that it is genuine and relates to something you experienced or directly witnessed, and that you will not file false, duplicate or deliberately misleading reports. Reports are published in aggregate — counts, breakdowns, rankings, map areas — and we may reset or remove report data.
Ask EVH answers questions using an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) over published EVH content only, with no access to the open web, and every link in an answer comes from a page we supplied. It is still general information rather than professional, legal, financial, medical or safety-critical advice, it can be out of date, and anything urgent should be checked against the official source.
Business listings are a free community service and inclusion is not an endorsement; owners are responsible for what they submit, and we can remove or decline a listing. Resident offers are provided by the businesses, not by EVH — we take no responsibility for the quality, availability, terms or fulfilment of an offer, and a dispute is between you and the business.
We do not accept liability for a decision taken solely on the basis of something published here. The trackers are resident-reported and can be incomplete — treat them as a signal, not a certainty.
EVH is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law permits, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including errors, omissions, interruptions and third-party content.
We may update these terms. Material changes are named in What changed at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site after that means accepting them.
