TCV East Village Conservation Team
Practical conservation days every Wednesday in The Waterglades and Portlands, plus monthly weekend events and nature walks.

If it's your first time
Email Karen at eastvillage@tcv.org.uk before your first session. No experience needed.
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) run practical nature work in East Village, led by Conservation Project Officer Karen Pernyes. Every Wednesday a volunteer team works in The Waterglades, Portlands and the smaller green spaces, from 10am to 3:30pm. Tasks include pond and channel clearing, reed cutting, coppicing, digging and creating new habitats.
You don't need experience. Guidance and tools are provided, and you can work at your own pace. You don't need to book, but the first time you volunteer TCV asks you to fill in a volunteer welfare form, which Karen can email you in advance. - Guided lunchtime nature walks on the first Friday of the month, from 1pm to 1:50pm.
