East Village Hub for Businesses
Last updated: March 2026
What is East Village Hub?
East Village Hub is an independent, resident-run community platform for East Village, E20 in Stratford, London. It's built and maintained by local residents — not GetLiving, EVML, or any estate management company — and exists to help the East Village community find local information, connect with each other, and make the most of living here.
The site includes a directory of local businesses, upcoming events, resident FAQs, community news, a search tool, and exclusive resident offers. It's used regularly by residents looking for recommendations, services, and things to do in and around E20.
Your free business listing
If your business serves East Village residents — whether you're based in E20 or nearby — you may already have a listing on EVH. Listings are free and include:
- Business name, category, and description
- Address and location on a map
- Opening hours
- Website, phone, and email
- Photos
- Tags and keywords to help residents find you
Your listing appears in the Business Directory, in relevant FAQ pages (e.g. vets appear on the Pets FAQ), in resident recommendations, and in the site search.
Claiming your listing
Any business owner or manager can claim their listing. Claiming is free and gives you:
- A verified badge on your listing
- Access to the self-serve Business Portal to keep your details up to date
- The ability to add events to the East Village events calendar
- The ability to create exclusive resident offers
To claim, fill in a short form with your name, email, and role at the business. We'll verify your connection and get back to you within a few days.
Managing your listing via the Business Portal
Once your claim is verified, you'll receive access to the Business Portal. This gives you three tools:
- Edit Info — update your description, opening hours, photos, contact details, and address
- Add Event — submit events to the East Village events calendar
- Add Offer — create exclusive discounts or promotions for East Village residents
Changes submitted through the portal are reviewed by the EVH team before going live, usually within a couple of days.
Adding events
Events you submit appear on the East Village events calendar, which is checked regularly by residents looking for things to do.
When submitting an event, include:
- Event title
- Date and start time
- Location (address or venue name)
- Category (e.g. Food & Drink, Fitness, Community, etc.)
- A brief description — what is it, who's it for, do people need to book?
Events are reviewed before publishing. Recurring events (e.g. weekly classes) can be noted in the description and we'll do our best to reflect that in the listing.
Creating resident offers
Resident offers give East Village residents an exclusive discount or promotion that they claim through the EVH site. Offers appear on the Offers page and can drive meaningful footfall and goodwill from the local community.
When creating an offer, include:
- Offer title (e.g. "10% off for East Village residents")
- Description — what's included, any conditions (e.g. not combinable with other offers)
- Valid from and valid until dates
- Category
- How residents redeem it — choose one of:
- Generic code — a single code all residents use (e.g.
EVHRESIDENT10) - Unique codes — individual codes issued one per resident (limits duplication)
- Redemption link — a URL residents click to claim (e.g. your own booking page)
- Generic code — a single code all residents use (e.g.
Offers are reviewed before going live. Once active, you can see how many residents have claimed your offer via the dashboard.
