East Village Hub

Fitness

Most of it is free, and it’s on your doorstep

2 free places to train are within a ten-minute walk.

East Village sits on the Olympic Park, so the facilities here are unusually good and mostly unused by residents. This page starts with what costs nothing.

How to check someone is qualified

Personal training is unregulated in the UK, so anyone may use the title. CIMSPA publishes a free public register and reputable trainers are on it. Before you pay for a block of sessions, ask to see public liability insurance and a first aid certificate, and ask what happens if you need to stop. EVH checks none of these and takes no payment.

What this page will never do

There is no weight, BMI, calorie or step tracking here, no goals, no streaks and no leaderboard. EVH is a neighbourhood site, not a health app, and ranking neighbours by exercise would put people off before it encouraged anybody. It gives no health or injury advice either: that is your GP, and the surgery is in Living here.

Somewhere missing?

The full directory has every fitness listing, and a name and a link is enough to add one.
