When applications close, how applying works across four boroughs, and schools by walking time.

You apply through the council for the borough you live in, even for a school in another borough. E20 spans four boroughs, so check which one your home is in. Newham residents apply on eAdmissions. If you live in Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest, start at your own council's admissions page.
Newham's secondary and reception admissions pages give each year's closing dates. An application after the closing date counts as late, and those pages say what that means. Checked 18 October 2026.
Two schools in E20 take children from primary age through to sixth form. Harris Academy Chobham on Cheering Lane has a nursery, a primary, a secondary and a sixth form. Bobby Moore Academy takes ages 4 to 19. Sources: harrischobham.org.uk and Bobby Moore Academy's Ofsted listing, checked 18 October 2026. EVH does not show Ofsted grades or catchment areas: each school's own admissions policy says how places are given.
