Who to tell

A neighbourhood heads-up, for information. Reporting here does not tell the police, the retailer or your landlord.

Tell the retailer or courier first, as they handle refunds. Then report it to the Met on 101 or online for a crime reference.

Stay safe

Ask for "deliver to postroom", never a safe place. Concierge does not take parcels.
Set standing instructions so a courier never leaves a parcel unattended in a lobby.
For anything valuable, collect it yourself rather than leaving it in a communal area.
Don't let anyone tailgate you through the main door.
Report a propped-open lobby door to your building team. That is how most of them get in.
